Susan Etu

I’m a freelance graphic designer living outside of New York City. I have a BA in graphic design from The Rochester Institute of Technology. Over the years I’ve worked as an art director at advertising agencies including Saatchi and Saatchi and ICE Communications with accounts such as Kodak, Dupont and Bausch and Lomb. As a freelancer, I do work for small businesses ranging from websites, logos, ads, newsletters and brochures. As mother of two, freelancing has allowed me to continue my creative career while still being able to chaperone a field trip or two. Being a member of Sparkhouse gives me two great resources to do what I do even better: Dave and Johnine.

Dave Vogler

I’m a web developer living and working in Rochester, NY. I hold an engineering degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and have 10+ years experience as a product design consultant. I enjoy freelance work as a web developer and strategic consultant, and have been designing and hosting websites for nearly 10 years. Be it a large or small site, I enjoy the process of marrying design and function. I value the relationship with each client, investing personal attention to the success of the project. I have had the privilege of working with Susan and Johnine in creating websites that are beautiful, compelling, and useful- bringing a distinctive online presence to small businesses.

Johnine Byrne

I’m a freelance graphic designer living in Northeast Ohio with a BA in graphic design from the Rochester Institute of Technology. I worked as an art director at Saatchi and Saatchi in Rochester, New York primarily on the Kodak account and then did stints at a few other advertising agencies, working on accounts such as Dupont, The Connecticut State Lottery, and The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. As a freelancer I’ve concentrated on building a career doing print work, websites, photo styling and copy writing. Sparkhouse is all about collaboration. Dave’s big brain and Susan’s artful use of typography keeps me excited about design. See more of my work at johnine.com
